Terms of Service

1. About the service

"Tuchka" is a non-commercial service for receiving, storing, and publishing data from consumer-grade air quality sensors (airRohr: SDS011 + BME280/BMP280). The operator of the service is Nikita Leonov, contact: krotghar@gmail.com. The service is provided free of charge, "as is", with no guarantee of continuous availability.

2. Nature of the data

All measurements are indicative measurements produced by consumer sensors, not reference-grade air quality monitoring stations. Readings may deviate from true values due to sensor drift, installation conditions, and the characteristics of the device itself. The data is not suitable for legally binding conclusions, medical decisions, or official air quality reporting.

3. Connecting your sensor

By connecting your sensor to the service, you grant the operator a non-exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to store, process, and publicly distribute the submitted measurements — including under the open license CC BY 4.0. The license is irrevocable because, once published, data may already have been copied by third parties, and copies already in circulation cannot physically be recalled.

4. What is public and what is not

Public: de-identified measurements, an offset (not exact) sensor coordinate, the sensor's public name. Private, and never shared with third parties: the exact installation address and coordinate, the owner's email, and the link between a specific sensor and a specific person.

5. Moderation and publication

New sensors go through manual pre-moderation of their first readings and become publicly visible no earlier than 24 hours of continuous data. The operator may hide a sensor from the public map, notifying the owner of the reason.

6. Prohibited

7. Termination and account deletion

You may delete your account at any time. The deletion procedure and timelines are described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Other

The service is provided without any warranties, express or implied. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Armenia. The operator may amend these terms; a new version is published at the same address with an updated version number and date.
